In this article

Camping reimagines the Cooking profession’s simple Cooking Fire as a Basic Campfire. Placing one creates a campsite where players can rest and gain benefits such as vendors, repairs, profession workspaces and one-hour buffs. Blizzard’s write-up says players need to sit by the campfire for a few moments to become rested and receive the buffs.

Campsite objects

A Basic Campfire allows up to three special crafted objects, each placed by a nearby player, sharing a one-hour cooldown. Every profession has three objects learned at different skill levels, and each profession provides its own buff or utility no matter which object is placed.

Examples Blizzard gives:

  • Blacksmiths place a Sharpening Wheel, increasing Attack Power.
  • Tailors place a Faction Banner, increasing Spirit.
  • Herbalists place an Incense Candle, increasing Intellect.

These effects are variants of buffs normally provided by classes and do not stack with them.

How objects are learned

The first campsite objects unlock when a profession reaches skill level 20, taught by NPCs who introduce camping or by profession trainers. More advanced objects come from Blueprint recipes that drop from specific dungeon bosses.

Alchemists can learn an Alchemy Lab, Leatherworkers a Tanning Rack required for more advanced Leatherworking recipes, and Cooks upgraded Campfires that allow five or ten objects at a camp.

Professions get more depth

The same panel puts the number of new recipes at more than 600 across professions and level ranges. Crafted food is adjusted to grant a small experience bonus and stat boosts, separate from the campsite system.

Blizzard presents Camping as a reason to pause together in the world before heading back out. The panel does not publish the complete object list, its numeric values or the full Blueprint source table.
