  1. With Demonic Pact, select the sacrifice and a different active demon; otherwise use the selected demon normally. Check Soul Link and pet positioning.

  2. Maintain the assigned Curse, Bane and selected damage effects.

  3. Use Shadow Bolt as the source’s proposed filler and compare Soul Fire during a valid Decimation opportunity.

Warlock: your next trainer stops

Plan levels 21–30 with the fansite report for build 1.60.1.70124, checked 2026-10-01. Later official corrections are noted separately. Check current-client availability before planning a quest or dungeon around a spell.

  1. Check the level-28 trainer spells before your next dungeon.
  2. At 30, check Summon Felhunter and any associated class quest before planning around that demon.
  3. Conflagrate and Siphon Life in the report require talent choices.

Class-specific limits
  • Classic used Tome of the Cabal and The Binding for the Felhunter. The report has not confirmed whether those quests are required in Forever.

A point-by-point leveling order is not established by this preparation cut. The talent table compares unlocks and prerequisites.

The separate level-30 combat instructions are still under review. These trainer stops do not establish a tested rotation.

Changes to Warlock in WoW Forever

Each branch asks a different question: Affliction counts active effects while draining, Demonology changes what a summoned demon gives you and whether a sacrifice persists, and Destruction crosses Immolate, Conflagrate, Shadowburn and Bane of Havoc. Blizzard’s Deep Dive recap names Troll Warlock as a new race-and-class combination. The tree details come from the observed Wowhead calculator; a few fields still contain placeholders.

The calculator showed 51 points. Blizzard’s Deep Dive recap confirms one-point milestones at 11, 16, 21 and 31 and the existing row count.

Affliction: active effects multiply drain value

Demonology: the demon changes the package

  • Demonic Sacrifice: a different effect for Imp, Voidwalker, Succubus or Incubus, and Felhunter.
  • Soul Link (needs Demonic Sacrifice): the demon takes part of your damage, and both deal more damage.
  • Demonic Pact (final row): the sacrifice stays when you summon a different demon; resummoning the sacrificed demon ends it.
  • Master Demonologist: Fire damage with an Imp, physical damage reduction with a Voidwalker, Shadow damage with a Succubus or Incubus, magic damage reduction with a Felhunter.
  • Demonic Energies: your spell damage heals the pet, and Life Tap Mana can go to the demon.
  • Demonic Brand: lower Searing Pain threat and a mark for pet attacks. Ranks 2 and 3 show $<minDam> and $<maxDam> placeholders in the raw data, so those values stay open.

Sources and limits

The Deep Dive recap confirms Troll Warlock but publishes no Warlock talent list or demon matrix. Tree names, descriptions and prerequisites come from the Warlock calculator and its observed data response. Wowhead reconstructed the calculator from BlizzCon testing and streams before beta data was available and says damage numbers may vary, so the demon outcomes, Destruction links and Demonic Brand values still need beta confirmation.
