Blizzard's raid overview of October 20 opens all three raids on December 9: Barrow Deeps (10 players), Hyjal Summit (20 players) and Onyxia's Lair (40 players, Dustwallow Marsh). Entering Onyxia's Lair requires the Drakefire Amulet from a faction-specific attunement questline. All raids are planned to reset each week.

What to planraid preview

The checked sources establish the shape of this raid and the evidence still missing. Use these points to set expectations before treating a later beta or launch record as a playable guide.

  1. Build around the published size: 20-player raid encounters.
  2. Plan for the unlock: all three raids open on December 9, 2026, so no raid opens first. Blizzard plans a weekly reset.
  3. Use the recorded setting: Mount Hyjal. This location is a Wowhead report.
  4. Read the encounter list as names only: 13 names are present in a beta-client achievement. The achievement does not establish a kill order, mechanics or loot.
  5. Wait for the missing run data: boss mechanics, raid-specific loot and tier-set details are not published on this source cut, and Blizzard names no lockout rule beyond the weekly reset.

Hyjal Summit encounter names13 in the beta client

The client's raid achievement names these 13 encounters. It gives names only, so this page claims no kill order, mechanics or loot.

Checked against patch 1.60.1. Achievement order is not necessarily kill order.

Loot

Blizzard confirmed: New tier sets and a legendary reward are planned for the new raids overall, according to Blizzard's What's Next recap. The recap does not identify which raid or boss awards either reward.

Details not published: no raid-specific tier details, loot table, boss drop list or drop rates are published. Beta-client items tied to the raid are covered in the next section; none of them is assigned to a boss.

In the beta client

The beta client has no instance zone record for Hyjal Summit. It does carry a Hyjal Summit trash weapon item, so the raid exists as assets before it exists as a place.

Checked against patch 1.60.1. An asset in a client is not a shipped encounter.

Where it is
