The Darkspear Islands battleground and its 15 vs. 15 format are announced. Blizzard's October 7 PvP article describes Honor and Rank Points, rank rewards from a tabard at rank 1 to epic weapons at rank 14, and a seasonal journey of weekly tasks.

The client carries Darkspear Islands as a PvP battleground zone with a 30–60 bracket and a 15v15 player count, which matches the recap's 15 vs. 15 description.
