Smelting also gives skill

Smelting recipes up to skill 150, with the skill where each turns yellow, green and grey.

New in Forever

Blizzard confirmedProfession objects arrive at skill 20, with later Blueprint recipes tied to dungeon-boss drops in the Deep Dive recap. The beta record below does not name the boss for each Blueprint.

Nodes in the reviewed 1–150 range: Copper Vein (1), Tin Vein (65), Silver Vein (75), Iron Deposit (125)Beta observation · 2026-09-24
Skill-up rule: A node gives a point on every gather for 25 skill past its requirement, less often up to 50 and rarely up to 100, then nothing.Classic context
Blizzard says: The first campsite object comes at skill 20; advanced objects come from Blueprints that dungeon bosses drop.

How this guide works

Beta observation: node skill requirements and the zones listed for each node are records read from Wowhead; a zone list ending in “and more” has further spawns.
Classic context: A node gives a point on every gather for 25 skill past its requirement, less often up to 50 and rarely up to 100, then nothing. The Forever client does not publish this rule.
Beta observation: campsite objects, their materials and the listed abilities are beta-client records. Wowhead has not tied these Blueprint records to a specific boss yet.

What this does not prove: a complete zone route, spawn timer, economy, or launch behaviour.
