Leveling addons for WoW Forever

Short answer

For quest locations, install Questie. It is free and shows givers, objectives and turn-ins on the map. For a route that tells you what to do next, Guidelime with a guide pack is the free option, and RestedXP is the paid one with Forever-specific routes. Zygor needs a subscription. Realm First has not tested any of them on a named beta build, so the table repeats what each addon states.

RestedXP is a Realm First partner: Realm First earns a commission on purchases through our link, and the link takes 10% off. The other addons pay us nothing. Azeroth Pilot Reloaded also lists a Forever build on CurseForge, but we found no statement about Forever routes.

Which one fits

• You read guides in a browser and only want map markers. Questie, free. It does not tell you the order.
• You want a free route. Guidelime plus a guide pack. Forever-specific routes are still being written.
• You want a speed route built for Forever, with dungeon routes on the roadmap. RestedXP. RestedXP says it builds the guide alongside the game; for 35 to 60 its Era routes stand in until the Forever versions arrive after launch.
• You already pay for Zygor. Its Forever guides are part of the subscription.

Are leveling addons allowed?

Free addons such as Questie and Guidelime are what Blizzard's add-on policy describes. Paid guides are the open question: the policy says add-ons must be free, and RestedXP, Zygor and Joana's sell guide content for addons or clients that are free to download. We found no Blizzard statement on any of them, and no reported ban of a player. The RestedXP rules page quotes the policy and the player thread.
