Who writes the routes

Journey names its route writer: Alenya, whom it calls a Classic speedrunner and 1 to 60 guide author for eight years, with a team of speedrunners. Journey is built on Joana's original routes under a licence from TomCat's Gaming, which keeps developing Joana's Guides separately. Zygor names no route writer; it says its Forever route starts from its Classic 1 to 60 guides and is revised for the changed zones, because the old route no longer fits them.

Journey is a Realm First partner: sales with code REALMFIRST pay Realm First a commission, and the code takes 10% off. Zygor Guides is a Realm First partner: Realm First earns a commission on Zygor Elite subscriptions through our link, at the same price. The verdicts are Realm First's reading of vendor pages, download listings and code, not results from playing each addon.

Zygor for WoW Forever: what is ready

Can I get a refund from Journey or Zygor?

Journey takes refund requests within 14 days and says it usually approves them for a wrong faction, a guide that does not work or one barely used. Zygor's terms say "We do not offer returns or refunds, all sales are final"; you can cancel the subscription at any time, and access falls back to the free samples.

Do they need an account or a desktop app?

Journey's free levels 1 to 30 need only the addon from CurseForge or Wago. The paid guide is tied to a Journey account and installed by Journey's installer; there is no Linux installer at launch. Zygor installs through the Zygor Client for Windows and Mac and needs a Zygor account; a manual zip install exists as a fallback.

Does Realm First earn money from both?

Yes. Journey pays a commission on sales with code REALMFIRST, which takes 10% off. Zygor pays a commission on subscriptions through our link at the normal price. The verdict follows the vendors' own pages, not the commission.
