Best leveling addon for WoW Forever: 9 compared
Nine leveling addons for World of Warcraft: Forever, compared on what each vendor, download listing and code repository says on October 23, 2026: the levels each one covers, 14 features, price, refunds and how often it ships updates.
Short answer
Paid, furthest along: RestedXP. Its Forever speedrun route is marked done to level 35 and its dungeon route covers 1 to 30; $27 per faction through our partner link. Paid, lower price: Journey, $22.50 per faction with code REALMFIRST, levels 1 to 30 free. Free: Azeroth Pilot Reloaded or Polestar Guides. Map markers only: Questie, which RestedXP lists as optional.
Zygor's Forever guides are still announced, not released. Nobody has published Forever leveling times we could check, so treat every speed claim as the vendor's.

What changes at launch on November 4
- Zygor plans to release its Forever guides through the Zygor Client before servers open, with leveling first and dungeons, professions and raids later. Is Zygor worth it? adds up what months of Elite cost.
- Journey aims to start adding Forever's new quests and zones to levels 30 to 60 about a week after launch. Its launch prices end on December 4.
- RestedXP releases Forever routes for 35 to 60 after launch; until then its Era routes cover that range.
- Questie maintainers add Forever-only quests by hand and say many will show wrong "for quite some time".
- Beta addons do not carry over. Journey notes that the beta uses its own folder, so every addon has to be installed again for the live Forever client; how to install addons in WoW Forever has the steps.
RestedXP is a Realm First partner: Realm First earns a commission on purchases through our link, which takes 10% off. Journey is a Realm First partner: sales with code REALMFIRST pay Realm First a commission, and the code takes 10% off. Zygor Guides is a Realm First partner: Realm First earns a commission on Zygor Elite subscriptions through our link, at the same price. ForeverWisp, Joana's Guides, Azeroth Pilot Reloaded, Polestar Guides, Guidelime, Questie pay Realm First nothing. The verdicts are Realm First's reading of vendor pages, download listings and code, not results from playing each addon.
Questions players ask
Answers checked .
What is the best leveling addon for WoW Forever?
It depends on what you want to pay. Realm First's pick for a paid route is RestedXP: its Forever speedrun route is marked done to level 35 and its dungeon route covers 1 to 30 ($27 per faction through our link). Journey costs less than RestedXP ($22.50 with code REALMFIRST, levels 1 to 30 free). Free: Azeroth Pilot Reloaded or Polestar Guides. Questie adds quest markers; RestedXP lists it as optional and Guidelime requires it. Read October 23, 2026; none of this is an in-game test.
Which WoW Forever leveling addon is free?
Four are free at every level: Azeroth Pilot Reloaded, Polestar Guides, Guidelime with the TUGs route pack, and Questie (markers only, no route). Paid guides also give a part away: Journey levels 1 to 30, ForeverWisp 1 to 20, and RestedXP's free addon ships Forever routes to about level 20.
Do I need Questie with RestedXP or Journey?
No. Journey says it "works on its own, so you don't need Questie". RestedXP lists Questie as an optional companion in its addon files. Guidelime is the exception: its Forever build requires Questie as its quest database.
Which addon has Forever routes past level 30 right now?
RestedXP marks its speedrun route done to 35; ForeverWisp says 20 to 35 is released; Azeroth Pilot Reloaded has Forever route files up to level 57 to 59; Polestar lists 1 to 60 guides in beta. Journey and the TUGs pack for Guidelime run 30 to 60 on the classic route until Forever's new quests are added after launch.
Is Zygor ready for WoW Forever?
Not yet. Zygor says its Forever guides arrive in November before the launch, come with Zygor Elite ($15 a month or $40 for three months) and may cover 1 to 60 only partially at first. It made no beta guides.
Is WoW Forever a private server?
No. World of Warcraft: Forever is Blizzard's own game with its own client, launching November 4, 2026 with a level cap of 60. An addon needs a file for the Forever client; Questie, RestedXP, Journey, Joana's, Guidelime, Azeroth Pilot Reloaded, Polestar and ForeverWisp have one. Zygor delivers through its own client.
