Is RestedXP finished for World of Warcraft: Forever? Not as far as its public files show. RestedXP published addon release v4.11.29 on October 29, and the Forever guide list in the repository still ends at level 22. Horde has leveling files for 1 to 22 (the
Barrens file covers 12 to 22). Alliance has regular files for 1 to 20, plus mage guides that reach 21 and 22. The last change to that list was on October 26, so it is the same list we read on October 27 and October 29.
Most of the v4.11.29 notes are translation updates for German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese starter guides. The notes also list typo fixes, a fix to the auto training order, “Fixed compatibility issues”, an added Ruins of Lordaeron deathskip time save and a guide configurator tweak. “Enabled forever guides on era” appears again, as it did in v4.11.28. The notes do not say what that line means for a player, so we do not either. None of the notes mention new Forever levels.
Levels 1 to 20 are free for everyone since RestedXP’s Forever update of October 9. The repository files run two levels past that, and the paid levels from 21 on are not in it. So the file list cannot show how far the paid guide reaches. When we last read the shop on October 27, it marked levels 35 to 60 as coming after launch; we have not re-read it today. If you are weighing the paid guide, is RestedXP worth it for WoW Forever? covers the trade-offs, and is RestedXP allowed? covers the rules for using it.
RestedXP has not said when routes past level 22 reach the public files, and the Forever launch is on November 4. We will update this story if the range changes.
