WoW Forever addons: what you need

Which addons work in WoW Forever?

The seven addons below ship a Forever file. Each one's latest GitHub release lists the forever flavor with Interface 16001, and the table gives the version and release date we read on October 27, 2026. Realm First has not run them on a Forever client, so the table shows that a build exists and says nothing about individual features.

Does WoW Forever have Questie?

1. Download Questie-v12.3.1+v1.0.9.zip from the GitHub release. Questie's README also links its CurseForge page, which we could not open on October 27, 2026 (automated requests got HTTP 403).
2. Extract it. The zip holds two folders, Questie and QuestieDB. Copy both into the Forever client's Interface/AddOns folder.
3. Start the game and tick Questie in the AddOns list at character select.

Questie's Forever quest data is still being completed: RestedXP vs Questie lists the gaps we read on October 23. Its waypoint arrow needs the TomTom addon, per Questie's README; we did not check TomTom's Forever support. The install guide covers the folder and addon managers.

Free or paid leveling addon?

RestedXP's Forever route is free up to level 20 and paid after that: one faction costs $30 and both factions $45, $27 and $40.50 with 10% off through our link, as RestedXP's shop listed them on October 22, 2026.

• Questie is free. It maps quest givers, objectives and turn-ins and leaves the order to you. It is a map, not a route.
• Guidelime is free. Its releases download without payment (v6.010, October 24). It gives step-by-step guides with an arrow, and on Forever it needs Questie.
• RestedXP is free to level 20. The addon costs nothing; the guides past level 20 are the paid part. Is RestedXP free? lists what the free range covers.

Choose Questie to pick your own quests. Choose a route addon if you want to be told what to do next, and expect to pay once your free levels run out. The best leveling addon page compares all nine, including Zygor and Journey.

How to install addons in WoW Forever

1. Close the game.
2. Open the Forever client's folder from the Battle.net app (Options, then Show in Explorer on Windows) and go to its Interface/AddOns folder.
3. Put each addon's own folder directly inside AddOns, with no outer folder from the zip around it.
4. Start the game, click AddOns at character select and tick the addon.

We found no Blizzard page that names the Forever client folder, so open it from Battle.net rather than typing a path. The full install guide has the folder gap, addon managers, per-vendor steps and fixes for an addon that does not load.
