WarriorWarrior leveling 1–60

Most guides level Arms with a two-handed weapon: Rend on the pull, Victory Rush after each kill from level 20, Sweeping Strikes at 30 and Mortal Strike at 40. Forever also reworks Rage and trains Tactical Mastery at 14.

Pick a leveling spec

Guides pick a two-hander Arms route because it reaches Sweeping Strikes and Mortal Strike on one clear path. No source measures leveling speed, so this is a reported pick, not a ranking. WoW Forever GuidesWoW Forever BuildsMethod

  • Protection: ConquestCapped advises Protection from 16 to 30 because blocks, dodges and parries give Rage. Method suggests it for solo grinding. Kills are slower after 30. ConquestCappedMethod
  • Fury: ConquestCapped sees Fury as the highest single-target damage once you own two good one-handers, but it punishes pulls above your level. ConquestCapped

Arms talent order 10–60

Talents start at level 10 and you get one point per level, 51 by level 60. The Talented Legacy perk can move each point up to five levels earlier; follow the order by points spent, not by level.

What Forever changes for Warriors

  • Rage from damage taken ignores Armor and uses the old formula as if you always had 50% mitigation. Rage from damage dealt is normalized by weapon speed. Blizzard
  • The Oct 8 notes fix the Rage-from-damage bugs and tune Rage around 20–40% armor instead of 50%. Beta notes
  • Critical strikes give extra Rage. The deep dive says 75% more; the Oct 1 notes raise basic-attack crit Rage to 100%. BlizzardBeta notes
  • Tactical Mastery is learned at level 14 and keeps 10 Rage on a stance swap. Improved Tactical Mastery adds 3 retained Rage per point, up to 25. Blizzard
  • Victory Rush is learned at level 20: instant attack, 30 s cooldown, heals 10% of max health, usable for 20 s after a non-trivial kill. Blizzard
  • Rend and Thunder Clap scale much more with Attack Power. Thunder Clap works in Defensive Stance and has a 6 s cooldown. Blizzard
  • Spearing Strike is a new 16-point Arms talent: 15 Rage, 20 s cooldown, dismounts the target. Since Oct 1 it needs Battle Stance, not a two-hander. BlizzardBeta notes
  • Bloodthrill is new: main-hand hits on a Rend target can enable Overpower for 6 s. Sep 24 notes set it to 4/8/12/16/20% and count Cleave and Heroic Strike. BlizzardBeta notes
  • Weaponmaster replaces the weapon specializations: axes and polearms add crit, maces and staves ignore armor, swords can give an extra attack. Blizzard
  • Improved Slam moved from Fury to Arms. Slam no longer delays the swing timer, and Oct 15 notes say it ignores spell pushback. BlizzardBeta notes
  • Retaliation and Shield Wall no longer share a cooldown and each drops to 15 minutes. Berserker Rage moved to level 30 in the Oct 1 notes. BlizzardBeta notes
  • Overpower now works against much lower-level enemies. Beta notes

Legacy perks for Warriors

  • Each character can spend 16 Legacy points at launch. The WoW Forever Talents Legacy record lists Talented, which starts talent points up to five levels early, behind Well Rested 5/5, so the pair costs 10 of the 16. BlizzardWoW Forever Talents
  • ConquestCapped puts the first five Legacy points into Thrill of Adventure: kills outside dungeons, raids and battlegrounds restore health over 10 s. With Victory Rush you can chain-pull. ConquestCapped
  • Warriors have no mana, so WoW Forever Guides says only the health part of Thrill of Adventure helps them. WoW Forever Guides
  • Well Rested raises the rested XP cap and fills it faster. ConquestCapped picks it instead if you play only a few hours a week. WoW Forever GuidesConquestCappedBlizzard
  • Talented starts talent points up to five levels early. WoW Forever Builds marks its Legacy order as unconfirmed. WoW Forever GuidesWoW Forever Builds

Blizzard's Legacy explanation lets each character spend up to 16 points at launch. Plan yours in the Legacy planner.

Dungeons on the way to 60

Level ranges from the dungeon guides. The Oct 1 notes cut the extra experience from dungeon quests by half, and the Oct 8 notes raised dungeon monster experience by about 20 percent.

Where the sources disagree

No source has measured leveling speed for any class. The beta stops at level 30, and Blizzard says abilities and talents can still change before launch.

  • Spec: WoW Forever Guides and WoW Forever Builds level Arms solo; Method suggests Arms for casual or small groups and Protection for solo grinding; ConquestCapped says Protection 16–30 and Arms only for duos or dungeon groups.
  • Early talents: WoW Forever Guides starts Improved Rend, Deflection, Improved Tactical Mastery; WoW Forever Builds starts Improved Rend, Improved Heroic Strike, Improved Charge, Improved Overpower; Method lists Cruelty first; ConquestCapped takes Improved Rend 3/3 then Cruelty.
  • Crit Rage bonus: deep dive says crits give 75% more Rage; the Oct 1 notes later raise basic-attack crit Rage to 100%.
  • Rage tuning: deep dive says damage-taken Rage assumes 50% armor reduction; Oct 8 notes retune it around 20–40% armor.
  • Berserker Rage level: Oct 1 notes say 30; WoW Forever Guides says the client and Wowhead still list 32.
  • Dungeons: Method says do not skip them; the Oct 1 build cut dungeon quest bonus XP by 50% and WoW Forever Builds suggests a mixed route.
  • No source read for this guide gives a level-by-level Protection or Fury order; WoW Forever Builds and ConquestCapped summarise those builds.
